My second home...

Today I want to talk with you about my second home. It's a place where I go to every week and I enjoy being there.

It's my church calls 'Stadtmission Arheilgen'. It's not just a church, no , it's the place my friends and I spend a lot of time. I love being there.
My parents went to that church even when they were young. So I was born into my church. I remember spending time at children service at teen group ec. . Most of the time I was happy going to church. I got baptised 2009 and seeing the whole church sitting in front of me and joining my special day was an incredible feeling.
I started giving children service some years ago and I still kept doing it. It's nice to be a part of children life and see them growing up, see their faith is becoming stronger and stronger. Most of my friends are from church. Actually the most are older than I am, because there is no one in my age, but I enjoying having older friends. They've already went through things like ABI and driving licence, so I can ask them for some advices, everytime.
Sunday service is most time really nice. Sometimes I'm a part of a band and spend my time singing on the stage, but most of the time I just enjoy listen to the preacher and relax . I don't know if you got a second home but I can say my second home is my church, there are the people who are an important part of my life and the nice thing is there is always someone to talk to.
Right now we're having new rooms for youth groups ec. And I'm leading the painting-group, hope everything will be alright and the room dosen't look like a mess afterwards =)

Last time I painted (child of my children service) , but I think there is a big difference between facepainting and painting a wall =D

  1. ..it's weird to go to the homepage and just not know what's going on anymore, from one day to the next.. My sis sometimes gives us an update on Sundays at lunch - if she shows up... Wow I spent so many years there...then again for me it was time to move on. I guess that day will come for you to, if you choose to move away - that's why it's so important to keep your heart locked to Jesus..people leave and change, but God is a fortress. (:

  2. I'm glad you found a church like this :-)
As 4ever said, sometimes it's time to move on - to move to another place to study or to do you apprenticeship - and it can be quite frustrating to find a church that kinda "resembles" your former one. And even if this works out for the way the service is hold, still, there are other people and it can take you some time to find friends ...
